I dye my hair red every 3-4 weeks, so it's pretty damaged, would using it strip the colour from my hair?

    • No, I died my hair golden blonde and I've used it about five times with no change in hair color/color stripping. However, everyone's hair type and color used is different so I'd say use a small amount to start with?

Do you let your hair dry with it in or do you put a shower cap on or something?

    • Hi Kayla, I think you let it dry. Here are the package directions: Apply Beyond the Zone Shock Therapy "Shocking Detoxing" Overnight Repair to damp hair. Leave in overnight for treatment. Wash out in the morning.

    • Hi Ciara, I've used this and it certainly seems to work. I have a feeling that it's one of those things where the more you use it, the better it works.

How often should I use the treatment? How many times a week?

    • Good question Melissa, the package doesn't say exactly. It sounds like you should use it once ever other night until you achieve the results you're looking for. p.s. we'd love to see a review of it, once you try it :)

  • I use this the day before I color my hair because it seems to take some of the color if I use it afterwards. I have a lot of gray that I cover so I don't know if this has something to do with it. Unlike the directions, I don't use it "overnight" but do it a different way. I put it on damp hair, put a disposable processing cap on and sit under Sally's Beauty Supply heat cap for about 30 minutes then rinse. The heat from the cap activates the conditioner just as well as if it's left on for hours. This definitely deep-conditions hair. I personally use it once a month but those who don't color their hair should be able to use it whenever.
